David Bowie

was a man of many talents and many faces. Some of you may know him for his music as he has done many great works over his lifetime. One of my favorites is Major Tom check out the youtube video. His last album released on his 69th birthday Friday Blackstar (youtube link here) just might be his most haunting. David Bowie lent his talent to voice acting, music, on screen and on stage acting to many kids, sci-fi, and fantasy films and Broadway shows throughout his life. He has lent his voice to productions such as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Karaoke Revolution, Guitar Hero Franchise, Grand Theft Auto IV, Rock Band, Elite Beat Agents, and as Lord Royal Highness in Sponge Bob Square Pants: Atlantis SquarePantis. But of course the show most near and dear to my heart is Labyrinth. What would that film be without his songs and his acting? It is truly a classic fantasy story I highly recommend we all go home at watch tonight with popcorn. Just be sure to hold your little ones tight never know when the goblin King will take them and make them his own!
With as profound and far reaching as his music and acting career is he went beyond even that in the 1990’s to help revolutionize how we use the internet. “He was envisioning something we all take for granted now – that link between popstar, Twitter, Instagram, fanbase and culture; that frisson between the artist as an aloof creator and the artist as an active participant in their own community.” – The Guardian BowieNet: how David Bowie’s ISP foresaw the future of the internet

The world has lost a great man a man with drive, passion, and vision. Davie Bowie you will be missed dearly. #RIPDavid 1947-2016
