Welcome to Bardic Insights! An improv team founded by Kris Vanderwege, that performs improv at various venues.
Bardic Insight™ is a PG-13 comedy troupe, founded by Kris Vanderwege, with a profound appreciation for Shakespeare. BI specializes in video and theatrical sketch material, school of improvisation, Texas Cosplay Human Chess matches, fight choreography, writing, directing, production and performance. The troupe is skilled at hosting and performing for corporate events, anime/comic-con conventions, and can provide emcee or DJ services and event planning. With a collective 50+ years of experience under their belt, Bardic Insight members often serve as featured panelists and staff for assorted conventions throughout Texas in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: Theater Workshops, Anti- Bullying presentations, Episode Reenactments, and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”

Current Members include Kris Vanderwege, Jackson Kimbrough, Mitchell Oden, and Christopher Graham II. All of these are helped out tremendously by their technological assistant and producer Tim Norton.

Armen Taylor

is a voice actor who has worked on a slew of video games, animated projects, and anime series. These include characters such as Hulk in Spidey & His Amazing Friends, Potemkin in Guilty Gear Strive, Risotto Nero in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Karen Travers in Scarlet Nexus, Ranulf in Fire Emblem: Heroes, Dr. Mundo in League of Legends, Miklan in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Black Alberich in the Trails of Cold Steel series, as well as Sourface in One Punch Man. Some of his other credits include: Genshin Impact, World of Warcraft, Hunter x Hunter, Seven Deadly Sins, Sword Art Online, Phantasy Star Online 2, Shin Megami Tensei V, and Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. We are happy to announce that Voice Actress Jessica Calvello will be appearing at #DeltaHCon August 19th through the 21st at @MarriottHoustonWestchase

Jessica Calvello began her work in the anime industry with ADVfilms (now Sentai Filmworks/Seraphim Digital), with her first show being 3 BIG LINES in the TV Series Evangelion. Some of Jessica’s voice work in recent years includes: Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan (Utano Tadano), Attack on Titan (Hange Zoe), Hells (Rinne’s Mother), Amagi Brilliant Park (Tiramy), Pop Team Epic (Pipimi, Ep. 10a, Ginza Hostess Detectives!), ARIA series (Aika), the Victorian British drama, Emma, (double cast as Eleanor and Monica [they’re sisters!]), Girls und Panzer (Saori), Hitorijime My Hero (Megumi Setagawa), Maria Holic (Kanako Miyamae), (and a number of animated projects from famed comic strip Cyanide & Happiness (explosm.net) including: Charlene in The Stockholms, the twisted Grandma in the game Freakpocalypse, Lucy in Master Dater (currently airing now, and it’s also her first lead with C&H!), and numerous animated shorts. Jessica also played Rip Van Winkle in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged (TeamFourStar) and has voiced hundreds of characters and creatures from the super popular MMORPG Wizard 101 game (also on mobile!). Some of Jessica’s earlier work includes iconic titles such as Excel Saga (Excel Excel, [V1-3]), Yuri (Dirty Pair [original TV series is currently in production!], Dragonhalf (Mink), Kay the Raichu Trainer (Pokemon) and New Cutey Honey in which she was personally cast by Go Nagai to play the lead role, Honey Kisaragi for the English dub. She also reprised her role as Honey in Cutie Honey Universe, too!
