Menhera Cafe:
Menhera (メンヘラ) is a Japanese slang term derived from ‘Mental Healther,’ (a term used to describe those who frequented the mental health boards on 2ch) which indicates cuteness that has been tainted by sickness. Wearers of this style use it to reflect their emotional wounds or sickness on the outside, using medical accessories such as pills and syringes, applying makeup to appear fragile and delicate, and in need of protection. It portrays an internal struggle, as someone may look cute but have very poor health, or be quite prone to negative thoughts. Menhera is a way of expressing that anyone can be affected by mental illness, no matter what their life may look like on the surface.
In this special cafe session, the maids of Kira Kira Entertainment will be dressed as menhera styled nurses to serve all of the patients who come to the Kira Kira Hospital. Songs with a cute sound but dark lyrical content will be performed, and the food served will have a medical flair.
Tickets are also available onsite during the convention.
