This panel is an extension of the Anime DJ experience, diving deeper into the elements of hip hop found in anime. It’s a space for fans who not only enjoy battle rap, but actively participate in the craft themselves.
Our goal is to create a positive, welcoming environment for hip hop within the convention scene—where creativity, expression, and culture collide. The panel kicks off with open sign-ups for audience participation, followed by head-to-head rap battles between attendees. We’ll close with a headliner battle featuring artists from respected leagues like Houston Bar Code, Live From The Block, the Houston Underground Rap Battle League, and more.
This platform isn’t just for showcasing lyrical talent—it’s about inspiring the next wave of hip hop artists and celebrating the artform’s connection to anime.
