Sugar Joiko is an American electronic pop singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Houston, Texas.
Joiko is currently notable for her music cover videos found on YouTube where she became a global sensation for her reinterpretations of popular songs in both English and Japanese. Her most favored Jpop tune, “Flavor of Life” by Utada Hikaru, scored Joiko an opportunity to represent the United States on Japan’s most popular televised singing competition, “Nodojiman”, where she performed live in Tokyo for two seasons in 2011 and 2012.
Joiko has three singles released: “Give It Up”, “Shining Bright”, and “Faded to Grey”. She has been affiliated with record labels JetSet Music Group and Vous Records. She has worked with producers Dean Mason, Ron Reeser, Made Monster, and more. Her first EP entitled, “DJ Save My Life” released in stores on March 3, 2015.
