Aurelio Voltaire @ Delta H Con 2017 Friday Only

Aurelio Voltaire @ Delta H FRIDAY ONLY

Aurelio Voltaire is often described as a modern day renaissance man. He is a singer/ performer, creator of comic books, animation and toys.

An internationally touring musician, he is at the forefront of the Gothic, Steampunk and Dark Cabaret genres headlining some of the biggest horror, sci-fi and comic book conventions as well as Gothic and Steampunk festivals for nearly two decades. His music can best be described as a collection of murder ballads, tongue-in-cheek exercises in the macabre, with just enough bawdy songs about Star Trek and Star Wars to keep a convention audience rolling in the aisles. Many know him for his songs “Brains!” and “Land of the Dead” from the Cartoon Network show “The Grim Adventures of Billy And Mandy”.
Voltaire’s live shows, whether solo or with his skeletal orchestra, are full of stories and games. Many describe his shows as sitting around a fire while an old friend regales you with tales, presuming that old friend drinks a liter of rum a night, dates zombie prostitutes and wrestles Krakens.

Voltaire has been recording and touring for over 15 years. He’s released 11 full length CDs.

Mike Suarez:

He’s Hispanic and can’t speak Spanish or whistle, so instead talks about Spiderman and online gaming. Michael’s a South Texas native that grew up in San Antonio, where years of comic books and video games made him a man who was bad at push ups. After realizing he wasn’t cut out for retail or customer service he pursued stand up comedy so that his wife and cats could get a break from him. He sucked at first but doesn’t anymore and has since become a staple of the Texas comedy scene. His comedy career has lead him to great opportunities working with amazing comics he looked up to like Jo Koy, Robert Kelly and Norm MacDonald. He’s also appeared on Tru TV thanks to an incident at A-Kons Cosplay Contest a few years ago. He regularly performs at clubs and colleges across the country and is an organizer of the Nerdcore Comedy Show, which showcases at media conventions and private events across the country. He started the annual A-Kon Nerdcore comedy show to show that nerd comedy is more than memes and recycled internet jokes. He is currently working on his Suarosaur Youtube Channel.

Alex Ansel

Alex KOOLAID Ansel: Within a year of Circuit City Closing down, Alex Ansel went from selling TV’s to being on TV. A Lifelong clown, Born in Texas just to spend the first 10 years of his life in Germany. He then spent his adolescence in various air conditioned buildings perfecting his videogame high scores. A Nerd of Texas size proportions, it was in Middle School where he was christened with the Nickname KOOLAID. Figuring there were worse nicknames to get, he stuck with it ever since. Alex’s appeal is wider than most, He’s a Fat guy from a Hispanic City, that dresses like rapper, has 2 Dads that are married….to each other and family in the Military. It is all these experiences that Alex aka KOOLAID draws from and helped him win his first Comedy Competition with the Title “Funniest Person in South Texas”. He is the youngest comedian to have won the Title. Alex has appeared on CBS, NBC and FOX affiliates in his hometown of San Antonio. Alex performed at the Boston Comedy Festival and Won RAWartists “Performer of the Year” in San Antonio. What does Alex want to accomplish throughout all this? To live up to his namesake of KOOLAID by putting smiles on faces and getting people to say “Oh Yeah”. Recently he was handpicked to Open on tour with WWE Hall of Fame Pro Wrestler Jake “The Snake” Roberts for The “Unspoken Word Tour”.
